When I joined this institution in 2018, I never imagined that I will lead the student council as Head Boy. My initial objective was to establish myself among the teachers and make good friends in this new environment. In this journey I got the opportunity to take a plunge of contesting elections and the high of winning. This is all because of the environment the school provides to nurture students and helping them excelling in what they aspire for.

This role came with a lot of responsibility and learnings for me. Throughout this journey I learnt several critical skills like time management, decision making, teamwork and accountability that will be with me for my entire life. I have gotten in tough situations multiple times and every time it came with some new skill for me.

When you take the ownership of representing the students it needs lot of balance of managing their expectations and at the same time maintaining the school’s discipline and ethos. This was one of my biggest challenge and I think I could do this by being very objective and impartial in my approach towards both students and school.

This responsibility also came lots of engagement with teachers and the management. I originally felt a little uneasy in my one to one and group meetings with them but they gave me an open to express myself without any hesitation and discomfort. I really want to thank them for their unconditional support.

One of the most important part of this journey was the team. Without the student council nothing could have been possible. We had our ups and downs but I think we learnt from one another. According to me, we have grown as a team.

I feel satisfied that I have contributed my bit in performing my duties and help building this great institution.
